The first year of Trans Art Fest will take place in Spring of 2026, and will feature a number of all-trans exhibitions and events at art spaces throughout New York City, including: Eleventh Hour Art, Established Gallery, Neptune in June, the Textile Arts Center, the Puffin Foundation, and more. The time frame for exhibitions is April - May 2026.

We welcome all trans artists in New York City and the surrounding areas to submit work to our 2026 open call. To be considered, artists must be able to drop off and pick up work in person. Email hello@transartfest.com with any questions.

The deadline for our Open Call- Art for Exhibitions is February 1, 2026 at midnight.

Trans artists of all kinds are welcome to propose an event to be presented within and among our gallery exhibitions. We’re looking for reading nights, performances, screenings, panel discussions, workshops, and more. Most events will take place within participating galleries or in our outdoor exhibition in a NYC community garden.

You can also propose an event that has a confirmed venue outside of our participating galleries.

If you are putting together an all trans art show during April or May of 2026, you can apply to have it be a part of the festival. This can be a formal or informal show, such as:

• Presenting work with a project space or gallery

• Showing work in a coffee shop/lobby/library/other venue

• Creating a group of outdoor murals or doing a street art project in one area

• Something else!
